An active roof leak or storm opening needs attention before the next rain. Family Tree Roofing secures damaged roofs to limit further water damage, then follows up with a permanent repair or replacement plan.

What counts as a roofing emergency
- Water actively coming through a ceiling or light fixture.
- Large areas of missing shingles or exposed decking after wind.
- A tree or limb on the roof.
- Storm damage that leaves part of the roof open to the weather.
What to do right now
- Stay off the roof, and keep people away from sagging ceilings.
- Turn off power to areas where water is near lights or outlets.
- Move valuables and catch dripping water with buckets and towels.
- Photograph the damage inside and out for your records.
- Call 918-703-3735.
If a tree is on your home or wires are down, stay clear and call 911 or your utility first. We can secure the roof once the area is safe.
How we secure your roof
Depending on the damage, we tarp exposed areas, seal leaks around flashing and penetrations, or replace a few shingles to make the roof weathertight. A temporary fix is meant to protect your home until a permanent repair can be done properly, often after materials arrive or an insurance adjuster has inspected.

Sunday inspections, repairs and tarping
Family Tree Roofing offers Sunday roof inspections, repairs, and scheduling. When needed, we may also arrange emergency roof tarping or roof replacements on Sundays, depending on crew availability and the situation. Call 918-703-3735 to discuss your needs.
When you call, tell us where water is getting in, whether any part of the roof is open to the weather and whether the area is safe to reach. We will tell you plainly what we can arrange and when. Timing depends on crew availability, the weather and the situation at your home, so we do not promise a set arrival time.

After the emergency
Once your home is protected, we inspect the whole roof, photograph what we find, prepare a complete estimate and walk you through it. If the damage can reasonably be fixed, we recommend a lasting repair rather than steering you toward a replacement; after wind damage that starts with a shingle analysis, explained on our storm damage roof repair page.
If a storm caused the damage, the photos and estimate come to you as a documentation package you can give your insurance company yourself. We do not file claims, interpret your policy or predict what your insurer will approve. See roof insurance claim help for how that works.
Emergency repair questions
Will insurance pay for an emergency tarp?
Many policies expect homeowners to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, but whether a temporary repair is covered is your insurer’s decision, not ours. Keep your photos and receipts, and ask your insurer or agent.
How long does a tarp last?
A properly installed tarp is a short-term measure. It should be replaced with a permanent repair as soon as practical.
Do you work on Sundays?
Yes. Family Tree Roofing offers Sunday roof inspections, repairs, and scheduling. When needed, we may also arrange emergency roof tarping or roof replacements on Sundays, depending on crew availability and the situation. Call 918-703-3735 to discuss your needs.
How quickly can you get to my house?
It depends on crew availability, the weather and how much damage there is across the area, so we cannot promise a particular day or arrival time. Call and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange, and in the meantime follow the safety steps above.
